The special function of "Boot Profile 3" :
Boot profiles must have priority over the "normal" settings in other configuration INFs. For example if you set in your normal custom.inf a wallpaper, computername, workgroup or any other item that is actually controlled by the boot profiles module, this custom setting will have no effect as it is overruled by the boot profile.
Boot Profile No. 3 is RESERVED for the "normal" configuration: To avoid confusion and to give users who do not need boot profiles at all a "normal" configuration, we have dedicated Boot Profile No. 3 for the "normal" configuration. Any settings generated by the "Configure My Defaults" run (from Reatogo main GUI) will automatically be matched in boot profile 3 to ensure they actually become effective. The combination of this and SILENTBOOT=1 puts the ReatogoLogon module totally in the background and gives those users the "normal" behaviour of an XPE configuration.
If you do use boot profiles, your "Boot Profile 3" will also be handled like that, but as the other profiles are totally unaffected by the "Configure My Defaults" run, you can freely edit them to suit your needs. |
